I dedicate this to you...

I like music. I listen to music... because I like it. And when I am listening to said music I am often reminded of one of you. I smile as you flash through my mind, and then never tell you. So I am going to tell you. And you can imagine me smiling.

Just because I am only sharing one with you does not mean that there are not more, because there are. I am only sharing the one that means the most to me in my brain. There is a meaning behind each of these songs. And a story. That is why they were dedicated. Cause of a story.

To Lunch Pale: There was really only one that stood out and jumped up and down saying pick me pick me. New Perspective by Panic at the Disco.

To Zombie: As with Lunch Pale, there was really only one song that was epic enough for me to dedicate it to you. In my mind. Zombie by The Cranberries.

To Dishtowl: For you there was lots. Because there just is. I have a hard time choosing just one for you but I will. But I am also gonna mention honorable mentions. Because I can. The song I chose is Rainbow Veins by Owl City. Honorable mentions: Leave by Jojo.(I could not decide between Rainbow Veins or Leave. They were so close. Just saying.) Light up the Sky by Yellowcard. Annie by Safteysuit. Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin. Viva La Vida by Coldplay. Just so you Know by Jesse McCartney. And any song ever by Owl City.

To Spooner: There was also a few for you that I had a hard time choosing but interesting enough they were all by two people. I hope you know which two of I am thinking because you will after you read which I dedicated to you. Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. Honorable mentions: Just that Girl by Drew Seeley. (This is the only one that was not by 'those two' so I decided to mention this one.) Do you know who the second is?

To Love Dove. Yours was harder because we did not listen to music much together or discussed it much. But this one is cause. Well. It's cause. ;D Cooler Than Me by Mike Prosner.

To Sponge. Yours was also harder but not impossible. Since You've Been Gone by Kelley Clarkson.

I love you all! Cause what's not to love!

That was so funny I forgot to Laugh

Dear Sponge. Funny. I tried that. It does not work and I hate it. Maybe I shall just post my comments as a blog post themselves.
Zombie, I LOVE your last post. it made my insides smile.
Dish Towel-- um, what class was it??? lol. I am thinking I would like to be there if and when you don't catch yourself from sleepy commenting.
Love Dove, you are an inspiration. I love hearing how you set goals and are constantly trying to better yourself and those around you.
Spooner. I miss your face.
Twoderful. I love you and wish all to be well with you and your cones.

Detox! Not your usual energy pill.

I know that I don't post on here much..... if at all.... but I have found something worth raving about. SLEEPPPPPP! People I have tested the promise given to us by a certain Father who loves us muchly and wants nothing better for us than COMPLETE and UTTER happiness! Here is how the "detox" works! You go to sleep around 10 or 11 at the latest (this will require preparation on your half to have things of the day done by then. Of course reading a certain set of scriptures and praying to a loving Father would definitely increase the potency of the detox). Then the next step is to wake up around 7 (yes, yes I know. 7 o'clock and I hadn't seen each other for a very long time but we are now friends). This is where the "detox" begins. Just like other drugs or habits, Sleep has a very strong hold on you and at times will try to convince you that it is your friend but I can testify that is certainly not! For the first few mornings you will want to give up and Sleep will try to convince you that it isn't worth it. But just tell him to shut up and wake up anyway. If you aren't a morning person this may be extra difficult but that just means it will be extra worth it in the end. You WILL have more energy! more inner happiness! more patience! and more drive to be the daughter or son of God you can become. It is literally like a miracle and you will witness even more miracles in your daily life. I only hope you will give it a try!

I am now in the process of testing the promises associated with eating healthy and exercise. I will update you with my success.

My mind is blank and can't come up with a good title.

I'm gonna break down what's going on in plain terms. Cause I can. And cause I wanna.

Dish-towl. - is dating mike. mike leaves in three days for school. Sad day.
Spooner - Is job hunting. Spending lots of time with mike. They are good buds.
Zombie - Mike came out from the east to visit and they are in love. It's cute.
Lunch Pale - Is engaged to Mike and they tie the knot in 14 ish days. Woot Woot. It's a party.
Love Dove- Moved back down south to go to school there. She is missed. Her life is a mystery.
Sponge - How you say it? Oh. Lost her VL's to mike. They are dating.
Twoderful - ..........................................................................................................nothing going on.

That was supposed to not be confusing but I think I might have made the damage worse. Whatever.
If you made it through that then cool. I've decided to write more because I want to. Lately I've been working on a project of epic porportions. I inherited a shirt from Dish-towl and I've been putting buttons on it. Yep. Buttons. As There are currently 175 buttons on the shirt. That's just the front. The back won't have many but still, there will be more. As I've been putting on the button's I've been thinking about friends. This includes all of apartment 30. All the mikes in my life. (If you have not caught on, Mike= code word for a boy.) All of 17thwarders. My friends from H.S. My friends from various other parts of my life. My mind can not wrap around the fact that I've been so blessed. The buttons I put on my shirt represent these good friends. In fact i took the opportunity to have some of my buds donate a button so that it really will represent. There are so many good ones in my life. It's like they truly have donated to my life, but with a gift much greater than buttons.
Thank you to my friends for support. For love. For laughter. For fun times. For sad times. For times. Thank you for life lessons. Thank you for happiness. For crazy-ness. For road detours. For late night conversations. For a phone call. For emails. For partys. For food. For movies. For time spent with each other. For cookie making. For patience. For caring. For being there. Thank you for your friendship. Really. I kid you not.

I feel so indebted to my friends. But there is an entity I feel more in debted to. That would be my family. If my friends are the buttons on my shirt, my family is the shirt. The threads brought me into existence. They are my foundation. They give me somewhere to fall back on. They are my security. They've always been there for me. As I've looked at others who have no family at all I start to tear up. I can't imagine life with out my family. They are truly amazing and have given me the most important things in life. I feel like I will never be able to convey to them how much I truly love them and are grateful for everything they've given me!

And one more thank you I need to extend. (I know I should save all the thank you's for when I win a Grammy but I don't think that day is coming for me!) The man up stairs. Every thing I have. Everything I am. I'm so grateful to be a part of the gospel. I know he loves me.

Life is good. Life is good.

Changes

So Twoderful told Sponge how to get on the blog so here she is! Love Dove and Sponge stayed up super late the other night getting all of Love Dove's stuff ready for her to go back to the land of glorious heat and happyness where she went to the next day. Then today Twoderful, Awesome #1, Awesome #1, Mike, Sponge, and Lunch Pale, moved Lunch Pale's belongings to the new land of glory. Until more people move into the cave, it's just Dish Towel, Zombie, and Sponge as tenants in apartment thirty. But...Dish Towel is currently on a glory trip with Mike so Zombie and Sponge have fun together! Living in apartment thirty has been GLORY so far and I've had many the adventures being here so far with many more to come I'm sure! Well, till next time!

Karakoeeekee the 2nd

Last night Love Dove, Mike, Zombie and Twoderful went to kareoke. This time only Zombie and Love Dove sang. It was a ka-ching moment of awesome!!! Dishtowl was present as well but not with us. She was on a ...special hang out session with this awesome guy named Mike. I know weird. Two Mikes in the same night. You'll get over it, I'm sure. If not...come talk to me. Seriously. But it was a blast. Oh and our server friend named Mike was also there and he was our server..again. Yep. Three Mikes. Really. Come to me if you have issues or are seeing double. ... In short it was triumph. There you go.

We sang this for you!!!!

Dishtowel, Twoderful, LoveDove, and Zombie had a night out on the town.
They went to Karoke
They performed at Karoke
They were amazing at Karoke
THEY LOVED KAROKE
... They will continue to go to Karoke.
See you there!
Yours Truley Zombie
PS WE EATED FOOD TOO
PSS Karoke is actually spelt Karaoke.

(P.P.P.S I know this is late in coming but....also on this night all four of us preformed a quarter deed of amazing. Our good friend Mike was serving at the place of karaoke. He brought our food and it was exceedingly good! We decided to leave mike a tip in ... drum roll....that's right. Quarters. We left him 25 quarters in to go box that we creatively decorated by stabbing it with forks and spoons. We left some utensils in the box to give it more...flare! We felt content with our creative happy ness!

A change of pace

I noticed that the past couple of blogs have been on the silly/funny/crazy/off the wall side and so today I have decided to do a more thought provoking blog. (I am not saying I don't like the silly/funny/crazy/off the wall post! I am just in a thought full mood)
Just like any good card game, life isn't always about what happens to you, it is about how you play the cards you are dealt. Though, unlike regular card games, the dealer will only give you cards that He knows you are able to work with (unless of course we make a stupid move, that we cannot blame on the dealer. He will however always help us when we make mistakes!). It is because of this that we can be sure that no matter how many twists or turns, ups or downs, and no matter how many "unfair" things happen, we can always count on making it out on top if we wait patiently for the dealers instructions. We must, however, follow his instructions exactly because he knows how the game will end and how to get you to the winners circle! There is one more player in this game, your opponent.... he does not want you to win! He will fill you with doubts, fears, and impatient feelings in order to discourage you from winning the game. What we need to keep in mind is that he has no real power over us and by just playing the game the best we know how and listening to the dealer we can defeat the other player GLORIOUSLY!!!!
What may be the most difficult part is that dreaded word... Patience! It seems to me that there are two parts to this word. The actual waiting (which is hard) and what you do in the mean time is the other difficult part. These worries however are also solved by the dealer. He is more than willing to teach us strategies and tricks and the more we listen to Him the closer we will get to Him and the more we will want to follow his instructions. I know that this wasn't a typical apartmentthirty blog and if you made it this far I am hoping it wasn't too boring but it is what is on my mind!

Thanks for listening
Love Dove
p.s. Good luck playing the game!

Rain Man aka Raymond

There was much rejoicing in the land with Awesome #1 and Mike. Mike organized a camping trip up Hobble Creek Canyon. Complete with hot dogs and apples of wonder. Mike is the only one that was able to spend the night, but Mike, Mike, Mike, Awesome #1, Love Dove and Lunch Pale all went up for dinner and conversation. Lunch Pale and Love Dove made a table of glory with little help from Mike. We ate the skewered encased meats and sugary appleness and our stomachs were happy. And then the heavens wept right as the sun set on the glory of nature. So, we left Mike and Mike to their fire and water. Now we smell of smoke because smoke follows beauty and what can I say: We must be gorgeous. ;)
Love and tootsie rolls,
Lunch Pale.

PS-if it is wet, it is rain.

All The Single Ladies

So, we had fun fun fun at a dance last Saturday!!!! I haven't yet blogged this story...and I feel sad for this memory that is wavering on the forgotten side :( so here we go with our dancing adventure!!!
On Saturday night all was calm in the Little City as Dish-Towel, Spooner, and Love Dove gathered together for the epic dance that they were bound to be early to...which they ended up being Very Early To. :) We had fun as we learned the thriller dance with Mike. Then we split our ways to represent other dance arts... I chose to attend the break dancing instruction! I saw the windmill and the head spin performed along with a few other cool moves... I loved trying to break dance! The other two amazing classes were Latin and Country Swing. :) After all classes were finished they opened the gym for the marvelous dance! We danced and jived having the time of our lives. Before too long our sisters, Lunch-Pale and Twoderful joined us! We danced even more with new energy livening up our souls! Later on Mike showed up! We documented our fantabulous adventure as we had our picture taken as roomies, which picture should be glorious! We also took a gigantic picture with all our friends... Mike included. lol. We had mucho fun dancing the night away. I even got into a gummy bear fight! It was fantastic! Before the night closed we had the opportunity to show off our thriller skills, our dance to Miley Cyrus's "Party in the USA," and then we broke it down with all the "Single Ladies." I also showed off my worm skills which surprised dear Dish-Towel. :) The night ended with candy, chips, and lots of otter pops! :)
Keep on dancing in life, and have fun with each new song.
Signing out,
Spooner

-Did you even make a Pound? -I made a pound of cinnamon toast with mayonnaise.

Glory day of hooks and ties and Bacon Monsters and thrones of Glory and traversing across the little town a la Love Dove and Lunch Pale. The creative juices were flowing in honor of the most beautiful untouched soul courtesy of Mike and Awesome #1. Table plastic is good for more than an armament against the fundamentals. It brings joy to robots of green.
Life. The best four letter word out there.

Changing Dynamics

Change happens. I am not talking about the loose change you carry in your pocket because you don't give exact change. This is the type of change like an outfit. Yeah apartment thirty changed it's...inner outfit. That's right. It got slightly redecorated. Word to your banana muffin.

Change 2: Move ins happened. There fore there are new additions to the apartment. With new additions more introductions are required. The newest member of Apartment Thirty is Love-Dove. She hails from a land of glorious heat and happyness. Her and Zombie were best buds back in the prison of teenage hormones...aka college prep school...aka secondary. Any how she is a perfect addition to our hollowed cave walls.

Change 3: Summer. Summer is a fantastic change. The weather is warmer. School is less...for some of us who are not in summer school. ...sorry roomies who is....the end.

Change 4: The colony of caves now has a new slew of tenants. Lets go adopt them into our tribe. In other words...NEW FRIENDS!!!!!! Yeah for new comers and all of the new experiences. I have to admitt that at times meeting lots of new people can be overwhelming for me but it's fantastic getting to know everybody. Just saying.

Change 5: I changed my clothes today. Just thought you'd wanna know that the shirt I wore for 12 days straight is now getting worshed. No but really. Showering and changing are good. The end. For reals.

Word.
