Chipmunks and Par-tays

Yesterday was epic. One of us had her wisdom teeth removed, but is fine, just a bit swollen. Actually, she looks like the female version of the godfather with the swollen chops. Mike took real good care of her and the rest of the apartment kept checking up on her after he left, to which she greatly appreciated.
And there was a party celebrating the birth of one of the coolest people ever. There was excitement around the apartment all day.
All of our finals are over and we are ready for summer.
But the apartment upheaval is underway and all I have to say is that I am a bit upset by the change. *sigh* But, all is for the best and those removing themselves will just have to be leeches, in the good way of course. ;)

Cowboy Hats, Bears, Pogo Stick searching, Tulle, and A shiny new trophy

DISCLOSURE: Yesterday may or may not have been the birthday of DISHTOWEL.
That means that it was or was not EPIC.

Sidewalk chalk is an amazing thing.
Dishtowel and Zombie went on an adventure in the LITTLE CITY to see sights there eyes had never before held. Upon their arrival at the "Treasure Chest" many glorious things were waiting. In the end after wading through rivers of shoes and mountains of knick knacks ... Our treasures were each found. While Dishtowel walked away with an amazing hat and some sweet new shades Zombie had found a treasure above all others. A golden TROPHY ... Which from this point on will be named the TOken of Apartment Thirties friendship. The lucky receiver of this trophy should treasure it for all eternity.

Tulle anyone?
We bought enough yards of this stuff to cover the continent. < That was a gross exaggeration. I'm just being honest and a good friend. Perhaps you will see what these are being made to in the future. Any Guesses?

After this Zombie and Dishtowel met up with Spooner and Twoderful to take our friend MIKE to the shopping center. While there we searched diligently for a pogo stick. Our efforts did not end in reward. WE ARE STILL SEARCHING .

Quarters Operation # 2 Performed by: Zombie

Ok everyone, tis true Operation # 2 went down and this is how:

While shopping in the LITTLE CITY we came across a child looking longingly at the gumball machine.
Lets just say that child is now the proud owner of her very own giant gumball! :)

INTRODUCTIONS!!!

It's very important you know the people in apartment thirty. If you don't know us then why read our blog? Right? So there are five of us right now, soon our numbers will grow as people move out. However, once a member of apartment 30, always a member of apartment 30. The tenants right now are Dish-towl, Lunch-pail, Zombie, Spooner and me. Yes, those are not our actual names but for the sake of the blog, they are. We will take turns writting our adventures and sign off so that all may tell who wrote what entry. However, before you start caring or not-caring... let us be introduced.
(At times we like to compare ourselves with movies and such so I will be doing that so you can have concepts in your head.)

Lunch-Pail. She is pretty much amazing. She is straight up, tells you how it is and if your being stupid she will let you know. She has so much talent in her little finger and she has no idea. She has the ability to make a positive impact that is forever lasting and yet so humble about it. She is the type that will be your friend for life. Personally I would nominate her the mother of the apartment. If she were in Pride and Prejudice she would be Lizzy.

Dish-Towl. She is pretty much fantastic. She is out-going, contagiously happy, and radiates a love for everyone. She honestly cares for everyone she meets and is the most chill, easy going person I know. She can be just as crazy and spontanious as the best of them yet she is logical at the same time. She throws her whole self into what ever she does. She is also very loyal to her friends. She would be the caring Aunt of the family. In Pride and Prejudice she would be Jane.

Zombie. She is super duper awesome. She is the funniest most caring person. She knows how to have fun and loves to do so. She loves to live life big! She loves to laugh and to make others laugh as well. Being with her is always a blast. If your having a bad day or a doommer moment, she will lift your spirits instantaniously. She is so the crazy younger sister! In Pride and Prejudice she is Lydia, minus the stupidity and skank-ness.

Spooner. Spooner is fantastic in the fact that she is random in just about everything she does. She lives life intensly and deeply. She loves people and is very much a deep thinker. She is great at talking and has the greatest smile. She cares very much about others and likes to help out. I used the word random about her earlier and it may have been an understatement. She loves to have fun, especially with those around her. She's that crazy cousin you meet at family reunions. In Pride and Prejudice she is Mary, minus the socially awkward part.

Then there is me. My name of awesome is yet to be discovered. I also don't really want to introduce myself. It's like those moments when you get up in front of your class at school and say something 'cool' about yourself. I usually say...'I never wear socks that match' then people stare at me weird. I am not bothered by it one bit but it's just the thought of...do they actually care. I don't want to waste there time with something that they don't care about. Then again... they don't care if I tell them anything at all because they are strangers. Then again I could just be being very judgemental. However, to avoid one of those classroom encounters I am just going to leave you with my ramblings.

Twoderful as she mentions later is the "me" referred to here. Since she didn't really want to introduce herself...I will introduce her so that it is all good in awesomeness! :) Twoderful is friendly to everyone. She has super lots of energy and is a really happy person. Twoderful has her own unique style that is fantastic! Did I mention it was unique??? (hence the crazy mismatched socks:D) She works hard and she plays hard. She also comes up with the funnest things to do. She is always overflowing with empowering creativity! Twoderful would be the older sister as she is always checking up on her roommates to make sure everything is okay and that we are okay. She makes sure we are doing what we are "suppose" to be doing by checking on us, encouraging us, challenging us, and pushing us to our full potential. That is Twoderful! :)

This is who we are. Apartment 30.

P.S If you did not catch any of the Pride and Prejudice references, you should educate yourself. Guys, don't cringe, it is honestly not that bad.

Hot Kool-Aid, Checkers, and Yoshi

This was very much an epic day in the life of Apartment thirty!!! There is this hilarious video by Julian Smith. He actually has quite a few. This one is not as funny as his others but it inspired us in our efforts. His video is entitled 'Hot Kool Aid'.

We did exactly what he did in the last scene. We sold Hot Kool Aid. We went out in the front of our apartment complex with two card board boxes and set our pitchers on top. Dish-Towl was smart enough to know that we needed to bring cold kool aid as well as good measure. We ended up selling eight full quarts of Kool Aid. We sold it for ten cents a cup. None of us thought we would make anything but we made a good solid $15. It was fantastic!! Now we are gonna go to the NickleKade this weekend! It was great to sit there and socialize with everyone in our apartment complex and let them give us kool aid. We were only out for two hours but it was a blast hanging out with all of our friends. We had a good group of people just hanging out around us. It was a fantastic afternoon.

After we sold our hot Kool Aid we played human checkers with a large group of friends. We chalked out a playing board in the parking lot using... well chalk and a 2x4 (for straight lines). The two teams that were pitted against each other ended in a stale mate so it was called a tie. It was such a blast moving people around and metaphorically killing one another. If you ever get the chance to play human chess or checkers, do it. Take a page out of Harry Potters book. That is just what we did. Zombie is a huge fan of Harry Potter and had wanted to do this for a long time. It turned out to be a blast from the past of the Potter variety.

After having a party on the checkers board in the parking lot we were able to play real live Mario. Zombie and Dish-Towl played the part of Mario and Luigi and I was a transporting mushroom. Our mission: rescue the Yoshi egg. That is exactly what we did. We got that poor abandoned Yoshi egg and returned it to its rightful nest. At 9:03 our mission was complete. Game Finished. Oh and Zombie got attacked by vampires on our mission. On her leg.

Hold on. There is more. Yes we did more after rescuing the egg. We drew on peoples car windows with window chalk. Fantastic activity. Just saying.

Such an epic day for us. Partly because we spent it with friends. Partly because we had epic adventures. Mostly because we were having fun. There are lots of ordinary things around us we can have adventures with and make our seemingly boring lives exciting. What are more ways to do it?

-Me signing off. I still do not have an epic name.
