A post from Dish Towel

Well...ok, so  I don't really have a reason for posting. I just figured I should post something because I haven't posted in FOREVER! I think I will ramble about what is new in my life.

1. I am taking summer classes. Family Finance and Statistics. The best news of all is....I have an A in both of those classes. If you know my relationship with Math you can understand how cool this is. It helps a ton that I have a wonderful Mike to help me out when the going gets tough.
2. My summer has been filled with all sorts of cool: Boating, Camping, 4th of July, Family get togethers, etc. I'm not even sure how I've been able to manage fitting in all those things to my busy schedule, but it's been happening.

3. My neighbor had a baby girl on Sunday. We went to the hospital and I got to hold a baby girl that was about 8 hours old at the time. Precious? Yes.

4.   Popsicles are delicious. And I happen to be the owner of a few varieties of Popsicles. They reside in my fridge, but not for long!

5. I just received a musical Oreo the other day. FOR FREE!!! (if you're not sure what this code is...ummm...welll...figure it out. Oreos are black and white, right? And music....well....music....)
6. I ate a yummy sandwich for lunch today. It had ham and cheese and lettuce and BACON!

That's all. The end.
Love, Dishtowel :)

Spring! ...I mean...winter???

Last week I was laying on the grass, doing my homework, and enjoying the sun. (Yeah. Fabulous!)
It looked just like this:

Welll...minus the flowers. I just thought they looked pretty welcoming in the picture :)

Not even a week later, we have snow. This isn't just a little bit of "spring" snow...we have, mmmmm, probably a foot of snow, and SLUSH! This all came in about the past 24 hours. CRAZY!

Cool thing is: The trees look fantastic and it's fun to jump in puddles of slush. (I just feel so powerful when I step in a pile of slush and it splashes to a different spot on the sidewalk....like I have way super cool magical powers or something.)

Not cool thing is: It's not warm annnnnnd when I spend long enough (like 2 minutes) walking in slush, my pants look like this:

I think I would like April to look like warm April instead of cold April, but I guess that's what I get for living in a place where weather like this is expected.
I'll just have to enjoy jumping in slush puddles while I can :)

-Enjoy any warm weather that you may have, sincerely, Dish Towel

I made it!!!

Okay, okay okay.... I'm still alive, I promise!!! So.... Life in the Igloo town is pretty good. Life as a cheerleader is even better! That's right. Cheerleading. I made the Spirit Team! Can I get WHOO-RAW??? WHOO!!!! RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So today was the first day of scariness and of glory! I'm referring to my first basketball game as a University Cheerleader. Boy was that nerve racking! Luckily mum and pops came up for my b-day weekend and were there for support. GOOD NEWS!!! Our routine was sick! Awesome! Wicked! Thrilling! Exciting! And pretty much AMAZING! Yeah, we pulled that together in 2 days. CRAZINESS! We had flying girls, tumbling girls, buff guys, jumping girls, dancing girls, and running guys and girls. It turned out GREAT...AND my heart didn't stop like I thought it might. LOL. Glory Night! Cheerleading is a TON of work though, I'm not gonna lie. Stunts take muscle and with dancing, a TON of endurance! Yikes. :P Tonight made it feel like the last three weeks of constant training, tryouts, and cramming for cheers all worth it. The crowd went wild!!! :) (Small crowd, but clearly there to see the cheerleaders...lol.)
As for the rest of life. Confusing. Hard. Busy. Confusing. Stressful. Sleepless. Confusing. Emotional. Tough. Confusing. Yes, that about sums it up. It's funny how I only know cheer guys up here and they're all hitched. But my guys friends from all around the states are keeping in contact with me. One came all the way up to Idaho, flowers in hand. Well, that was a big unexpected surprise! I needed the break, and we had lots of fun. Yeah for creative Mikes willing to go the distance! LOL. :D Pretty much the best birthday present ever!
Well, I have mountains of homework and I need sleep sometime this year. So I'm signing off with that. I hope that rests your dear hearts to know I'm still alive and kicking. LOL (No pun intended.) Fare thee well until the next time we read or write. Loves to all! BUNCHES of hugs! I miss my Roomies! Yours Truely... the one year older, not much wiser, Spooner :)

Changing Dynamics

Change happens. I am not talking about the loose change you carry in your pocket because you don't give exact change. This is the type of change like an outfit. Yeah apartment thirty changed it's...inner outfit. That's right. It got slightly redecorated. Word to your banana muffin.

Change 2: Move ins happened. There fore there are new additions to the apartment. With new additions more introductions are required. The newest member of Apartment Thirty is Love-Dove. She hails from a land of glorious heat and happyness. Her and Zombie were best buds back in the prison of teenage hormones...aka college prep school...aka secondary. Any how she is a perfect addition to our hollowed cave walls.

Change 3: Summer. Summer is a fantastic change. The weather is warmer. School is less...for some of us who are not in summer school. ...sorry roomies who is....the end.

Change 4: The colony of caves now has a new slew of tenants. Lets go adopt them into our tribe. In other words...NEW FRIENDS!!!!!! Yeah for new comers and all of the new experiences. I have to admitt that at times meeting lots of new people can be overwhelming for me but it's fantastic getting to know everybody. Just saying.

Change 5: I changed my clothes today. Just thought you'd wanna know that the shirt I wore for 12 days straight is now getting worshed. No but really. Showering and changing are good. The end. For reals.

Word.

-Twoderful.
