I think it is about time to catch up. We are all moving in different directions and I think we need a recap:
So, I am going to make a list of things for us all to fill out. Simple, short answers, cut and paste the questions, fill in with your own answers. Got it? :D
Let's begin:
My nickname: Twoderful
My current adventure: Preparing for a mission
My next great adventure: My Mission
My Life's Theme Song: Dont Worry Be Happy
Church Calling: R.S Secretary and FHE group leader
Favorite Food: Edible
Favorite New Recipe: This veggie sandwich thing with bell peppers and feta cheese.
Something I am looking forward to: Finding out where I go on my mission!

What think ye...?
Having a baby is a miraculous thing. Your body goes from this
to this...and somehow lives through it!
Your hormones also go from this
to this and...somehow our dear husbands live through it!
But something that your body does not do so well is change from this
to this.
Somehow, 2 months after having this baby, my belly still looks something like this. (minus the hair. I promise preganancy did not make me grow belly hair)
I've made it back to my pre pregnancy weight, but not quite my pre pregnancy shape (aparantly having a baby is a big deal for the body...)
I've been exercising here and there and been doing really good...well, really good on some days. Most days I seem to find myself forgetting, not finding time, or not making exercise a priority. I didn't think it was too huge of a deal until realizing it has been 2 months-2 MONTHS and I still have some extra belly flub going on. I was just realizing that if I wanted it competely gone, some serious action would need to take place.Does everyone remember when we used to have exercise competions? We would do it separately, or keep track in teams and then in the end the winner(s) would win something stupid like a handful of nickles. Do you remember that? Well, I always found it fun a really really motivating. I thought: Dang! I need apartment 30 to help me loose weight!
So...what think ye? Do we want to organize another exercise competition, and if so, who wants to participate, how should we do it (individually, on teams with other apt 30 girls, or on teams with someone who lives close to us) what should the incentive be, and how do we reward the winner(s)? Here are some of my thoughts:
-I really loved being on teams with another apt 30 girl. It was really fun to secretely keep track of our exercise hours.
-It also is a challenge to split into teams, because it's difficult to put together completely even teams.
-I think it would be motivating to have someone we live with, or close to, as a team member, since it is always a motivator to have someone there pulling you out of bed when ya don't have the desire to do it.
-I loved having a prize. The nickle one was perfect cuz it didn't break the bank and for some reason it was SUPER motivating, even though the winner only won something like $1.20. Since when is that motivating? Since apartment 30 is that motivating!!!
-If we do a prize, how would we get it to the winner? We don't live close to each other, so we can't just hand over our nickles, or whatever else the prize is.
-It's sorta become tradition to eat at Jason's Deli on Conference weekend since that is when a lot of us are in town, we could have that as the goal time for a competition, and bring the prize there (but we would still probably want to make it mail-able in case the winner can't meet us there)
In conclusion, I think this would be a good idea/starting point. (Tell me what you think, give me additional ideas.)
I think we should do 2 teams. This way we can be on a team with apartment 30 girls as well as our husbands, boyfriends, sisters, mothers, and other close friends. This is also easier to make it more evenly matched (I think...maybe not, but whatever). I also think the prize should be mail-able (nickles may end up being on the expensive side to mail seeings that they are kinda bulky). I was kinda thinking that loosers buy ice cream at Jasons Deli (since the ice cream is free! haha. Just kidding, but funny, yes?) I really am terrible at coming up with a prize for the winner(s), so help me out here ladies!
The next Conference weekend is the first weekend in October. This gives us about a month an a half to exercise. I think by time we get going, this will be perfect for a short exercise competition. So, I think the time span should be between now and then.
Those are all my thoughts, so let me know if you want to participate and what your thoughts are (especially for the motivation/incentive/prize).
That's all! Hopefully with the help of apartment 30 my belly will get back to the shape it used to be in! Haha! (No more hairy man belly! Haha!)

You May Want To Read This...
Okay...HUGE NEWS FLASH... so listen up!
Dear Friends,
I have been away for a while now in the land of Windy College. I have been on a roller coaster called life and have failed miserably to keep up with my dear apt. 30 sisters... so I regret to inform you in such an informal manner the following news, yet am very thrilled to be sharing this news with all of you! In the mean time, forgive my lack of ability to keep in touch.
Yesterday, around 6pm, a Mike boy of mine proposed to me. I, Spooner, said yes to Mike's proposal. I am now wearing an engagement ring! True story. Papa Spooner and Mama Spooner gave Mike permission this last weekend to ask my hand in marriage. I hope you all will have an opportunity to meet Mike as none of you have ever met him in person before. I love him to death and am pleased to announce we will be getting married in March 2013. (So I can go on my Disney College Program and then plan the said wedding).
I am so very happy about this and couldn't be more pleased with my choice to marry the man of my dreams. Spooner now has a Mike to spoon. lol. I get to marry my very best friend and the man I love most in all the world. :)
I love ya all and hope to talk to you gals soon to spill more details. Until then...I'm off to take my remaining finals for the semester.
Happily in Love,
Spooner :)
P.s. I have to do an on-line Yay yay yay dance: This is a must!!! :D
I'm Engaged!!! Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay!!! Yayyy! :)
Okay. All better. :)

I've got the bug! Watch out you evil pudgers!
Remember back at the beginning of apartment thirty where I wore a ginormous bug on my arm? Well, Mike and I have found some new ones that are like half the size.
Since Minimike came along, the land of the lard has increased, so this bug is helping me to fight the evil pudgers and gain control. So far, I have fought 10 evil pudgers into submission in the past 3 weeks!
Kapeesh?

I was just reminiscing on old posts, and got distracted by one of mullets. Which reminds me, my son has a mullet! Since finding his ability to control his own head, giving him haircuts is a pain in the coccyx. So, I took the clippers to those lovely locks.
He tried to eat them.
And stare them down.
Which is how it became super duper difficult to buzz away the hairs at his neck.
And now my son is sporting a mullet.
:D I couldn't be a prouder mommy.

Me: "Is your Birthday June 19?"
Roommate: "Nope."

Roommate: "Bingo!"
Me: "Well sweet! I have super cool news for you!!!"
Roommate: "Well then tell me!!"
Me: "Oh, ok. I have the BEST Birthday present for you EVER!"
Roommate: "Why don't you just give it to me for Christmas?"
Me: "Well...I thought about that, but it's just the perfect Birthday present. So I think I'll give it to you for you Birthday."
PAUSE! What I really wanted to say was this: "Well...I thought about that, but it's just the perfect BIRTHday present...cuz guess what!?!?......"

An Update from Far Far Away
So Zombie and her hubby bought a house whoop whoop and so they spent alot of last week moving into this house. They had to be out of there rental by saturday morning because 1. it was the first of the month 2. thats what there land lord required and 3. they didn't want to miss general conference! So Friday night Zombies husband was at the rental loading up the last load with some of our fellow priesthood holders whilst Zombie stayed at the new home and started unpacking. 2 hours after the men left Zombie started to get worried. They should have been back by now..... she called the husband and got no answer! Oh NO! ..... But it turns out that the story isn't very worrisome at all it was actually quite hilarious. On this last trip the men had all the furniture loaded and were ready to head back all they had to do was load one last precious cargo ... the kitty that Zombie and Hubby own! They put the Kitty in the car, keys in the ignition ready to go, they made one final look to make sure everything was tied down secure and when they came back to the truck... it was locked. Kitty had stepped on the electronic lock!!! It was such a fun game for Kitty. She would look at them all innocent and play with there fingers as they tried to unlock the truck through the cracked window.
Finally, 2 hours later, Kitty was defeated! But it's quite amazing she survived.
Oh funny times

Egger is Pregger No More
So, a while ago I mentioned my egger is pregger. Or, I showed a pic of the test.
Fun thing about that: pregger eggers end up in awesomes or mikes! And my Mike came. :D He is the most handsome Mike (he looks just like Mike in my opinion).
LOVE.

20 Ways N. Carolina work differs from Utah work

As I transferred from Utah to N. Carolina I thought for sure that the one thing that would be consistent in my life was my job. I had transferred locations before so I figured other than getting used to my new co-workers work would stay indifferent. Boy was I wrong.
1. Customers refer to me as darling, sweetie, sugar, sugar dumpling, honey , honey sugar, baby, etc.
2. They do all of that with a southern drawl.
3. Customers are generally very very 'beautiful' here
4. So are most of the employees
6. EVERYONE pays in cash. ( I guess Utah truly does have one the highest debt rates)
7. All of my co-workers smoke
8. Alot of my co-workers drink lots and lots of alcohol
9. Several of these 'beautiful' co-workers like to bring alcohol to work with them
10. Every single daily procedure is done in a new and improved way! Yippee. I never can remember what way is the right way for this store.
11. Instead of crummy old hand held scanners that double scan we have fancy shmancy scanners like you see in wal-mart!!
12. No store managers ? Every store I've worked at in N. Carolina currently doesn't have a store manager. In fact, the one I work at now the store manager quit and walked out my very first day. Leaving me in charge! YAY!
13. Instead of staying on one road for 10 minutes to get to work I get to drive on three different major highways for 30 minutes.
14. I am getting a RAISE
15.Customers male and female alike sport very attractive mullets... while wearing wife beaters and/or spandex
15.DRAMA FEST!!! There is always some problem with someones brotherssistersdaughtersbabysdaddy
16. And all of those above folk are employeed here. Yes the brother the sister the daughter and the babys daddy
17. Instead of making a measly 100 dollars on sunday, its the busiest business day topping over 3500 dollars
18. People with 10 children aren't mormon, they just choose not to use birth control.
19. My employees call me Mrs. Kimberly.
20. We have lights that automatically turn on at the beginning of the day and off at the end of the day... therefore I feel magical

Living in apartment thirty has been GLORY so far and I've had many the adventures being here so far with many more to come I'm sure! Well, till next time!

My Thoughts Tonight
There are so many things on my mind tonight, so I thought I’d just start writing and see what I come up with.
So change is inevitable. I know we hear it a lot but it is soooo true. I hate change. It makes me go weak in the knees and it becomes hard for me to see what the future will bring. I know not everything lasts and sometimes I wish it did; yet in hindsight I’m sure glad things didn’t stay the same. I wouldn’t be where I am today or doing the amazing things I do if it weren’t for the changes in my life.
Death takes a tole on a person. Yet death helps me see better how life could be, because I think about what I could do with my life. There are sooo many people I could touch if I stepped farther out of my shell and did what I really wanted to do and said the things I needed to say. So many times in life I have just let the moment pass me by and later just sat down and cried. I’m here to say that when I took the time to write a letter or two to a family member, I felt relief in my heart when I think about the fact that they knew I loved them so very much before they passed on to the other life.
Today I have two choices.
I can let the moment pass me by or I can follow my heart and do what I feel I need to do, no matter how much the change may hurt at the time. In the end I remember God knows me better than I know myself…and every time hindsight is 20/20 and change has helped me grow. God bless you all that I love. Know that tomorrow will come and just maybe it’ll be the miracle you have been praying for or maybe a far better journey than you thought the day could hold. Maybe something in you or in your life just might change!
Keep on changing. Keep on smiling. Fight the good fight. Do what is right. And God will be your strength. And we will make it through life. Together. Because we all need to fight, why not side by side? I Love you my brothers and sisters.
Take care for now,
Spooner

A change of pace
I noticed that the past couple of blogs have been on the silly/funny/crazy/off the wall side and so today I have decided to do a more thought provoking blog. (I am not saying I don't like the silly/funny/crazy/off the wall post! I am just in a thought full mood)
Just like any good card game, life isn't always about what happens to you, it is about how you play the cards you are dealt. Though, unlike regular card games, the dealer will only give you cards that He knows you are able to work with (unless of course we make a stupid move, that we cannot blame on the dealer. He will however always help us when we make mistakes!). It is because of this that we can be sure that no matter how many twists or turns, ups or downs, and no matter how many "unfair" things happen, we can always count on making it out on top if we wait patiently for the dealers instructions. We must, however, follow his instructions exactly because he knows how the game will end and how to get you to the winners circle! There is one more player in this game, your opponent.... he does not want you to win! He will fill you with doubts, fears, and impatient feelings in order to discourage you from winning the game. What we need to keep in mind is that he has no real power over us and by just playing the game the best we know how and listening to the dealer we can defeat the other player GLORIOUSLY!!!!
What may be the most difficult part is that dreaded word... Patience! It seems to me that there are two parts to this word. The actual waiting (which is hard) and what you do in the mean time is the other difficult part. These worries however are also solved by the dealer. He is more than willing to teach us strategies and tricks and the more we listen to Him the closer we will get to Him and the more we will want to follow his instructions. I know that this wasn't a typical apartmentthirty blog and if you made it this far I am hoping it wasn't too boring but it is what is on my mind!
Thanks for listening
Love Dove
p.s. Good luck playing the game!

Changing Dynamics
Change happens. I am not talking about the loose change you carry in your pocket because you don't give exact change. This is the type of change like an outfit. Yeah apartment thirty changed it's...inner outfit. That's right. It got slightly redecorated. Word to your banana muffin.
Change 2: Move ins happened. There fore there are new additions to the apartment. With new additions more introductions are required. The newest member of Apartment Thirty is Love-Dove. She hails from a land of glorious heat and happyness. Her and Zombie were best buds back in the prison of teenage hormones...aka college prep school...aka secondary. Any how she is a perfect addition to our hollowed cave walls.
Change 3: Summer. Summer is a fantastic change. The weather is warmer. School is less...for some of us who are not in summer school. ...sorry roomies who is....the end.
Change 4: The colony of caves now has a new slew of tenants. Lets go adopt them into our tribe. In other words...NEW FRIENDS!!!!!! Yeah for new comers and all of the new experiences. I have to admitt that at times meeting lots of new people can be overwhelming for me but it's fantastic getting to know everybody. Just saying.
Change 5: I changed my clothes today. Just thought you'd wanna know that the shirt I wore for 12 days straight is now getting worshed. No but really. Showering and changing are good. The end. For reals.
Word.
-Twoderful.
